October rides

Here are two rides I found for October - 

Trek breast cancer awareness ride is a nice 25 mile ride which would be perfect for those just starting out.

Brief Description

Spacecoast Freewheelers are ready once again so make sure you join us for another year along the Intracoastal. We'll have routes of 14, 28, 63 and 100 miles available following quiet river front roads.

We'll be there to support you every turn of your wheel. If you're looking for the challenge of completing your first 100 mile bike ride or an experienced rider wanting to finish in 4 hours. Please visit our event website for full details about this ride.

Online registration for the 3rd Annual Ride-4-Ronald is now open and our 2012 routes have been posted! We hope you will join us again this year as we strive to raise over $150,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida.

Ride-4-Ronald is an enthusiast level biking event with 30, 60 and 100 mile bike routes.  Last year, YOU and over 600 other cyclists helped raise nearly $120,000 for the 1,500 families with seriously ill or critically injured children who stay at our two Ronald McDonald House locations each year.

Saturday will be riding the airport loop ... next day is the Ride-4-Ronald Century so the pace on Saturday will be very leisurely :-) Just a warm up ride to keep the legs loose ...

TD Five Boro Bike Tour

What to Expect:
Held annually the first Sunday in May, the TD Five Boro Bike Tour is America’s largest cycling event. The Tour is co-produced by Bike New York and the New York City Department of Transportation. The event provides participants the unique and fun experience to bike through all five boroughs – a 40 mile, traffic-free ride for 32,000 cyclists.
What will I see:
The TD Five Boro Bike Tour travels through the five boroughs of New York City on car-free roads, thanks to the cooperation of City agencies and officials. At 40 miles, the route is doable for cyclists of almost all levels.  Visit our route map page to learn more!

On Saturday we can do this ride -
Bike MS – Martha's Vineyard
Choice of 15, 30, or 60-mile bike routes. Funds raised benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Landry's Bicycles is honored to sponsor the MS Bike Tours.
